Relay

A task tracker I built for my own client work. I can update it by telling Claude what I finished.

The problem

I usually have a few projects going at once, and my tasks were all over the place: client chats, notes, repos, and my head. I didn’t have one place to see what was due today, what was urgent, and how everything looked across all my projects.

I tried regular task apps, but keeping them updated became its own job. I already work with Claude most of the day, so I wanted a tracker I could update from there.

What I built

[Screenshot: Relay today view]

One list for every project

  • Each task has a project, due date, priority and notes
  • A today view with what's due and how urgent it is
  • A full view of everything across all projects

Updating it through Claude

  • I built an MCP server that connects Relay to Claude Desktop and Claude Code
  • I can type something like "add a task to review the Deputy sync on Friday" or "mark the API task done" and Relay updates
  • Claude can read the list too, so I can ask "what's urgent this week?" and get an answer from my real tasks

Reminders

  • Installs on my phone and laptop like a normal app
  • Push notifications for tasks that are due or overdue, sent by a scheduled Supabase function

on the Factory Floor project, to keep track of updates and new features and get them out on time

It's also a working example of something I can do for clients. I can connect their tools to Claude so their team can update and check them just by typing.
